Le 11 Juin 2005 sur le site historique du Wintershall Estate à l'occasion d'un concert en plein air une compagnie de musiciens réunis autour de Gary Brooker forme le supergroupe "Band Du Lac" Composé de Paul Carrack, Andy Fairweather Low, Mike Rutherford, Dave Bronze, Henry Spinetti et Graham Broad, Frank Mead, Nick Pentelow, Maggie Ryder, Tara McDonald et Tracy Graham.
Le Band interprète Tequila en présentant le groupe avant d’accueillir une pléiade de stars comme Eric Clapton, Katie Melua, Roger Taylor, Ringo Starr, Chris Barber et Les Drifters chacun interprétant des tubes de son catalogue ancien ou récent.
Paul Carrack ouvre avec "Over My Shoulder" suivi par Clapton qui brille avec Reconsider Baby suivi de Lay Down Sally, How long et Willie And The Hand Jive. Katie Melua guitare acoustique en bandoulière et le pianiste Mike Batt alignent avec brio trois titres commençant avec "Crawling Up A Hill" de John Mayall. Puis c’est Roger Taylor qui chante aussi trois chansons. Ringo Starr qui vient après termine sa série avec un titre qui fait parti de ses incontournables "With A Little Help From My Friends"

Les Drifter enchainent avec deux chansons avant que Clapton joue Cocaïne et assure le principal de guitare sur le final "I Cant’ Dance" où Graham Broad assure les percussions et laisse son tabouret derrière les fûts à Roger Taylor.
A l’initiative de Gary Brooker le "Picnic Concert by the Chapel on the Lake" est un spectacle de charité régulier au profit de HASTE (Heart and Stroke Trust Endeavour) qui lutte contre les maladies du cœur.

C’est exact Toerag, les Drifters chantent deux chansons "Under The Boardwalk" et "Stand By Me" coincées entre "Stormy Monday" et "Cocaïne"
Pas du tout le genre musical que j’aime, je crois que je ne suis même pas allé au bout lorsque j’ai regardé le DVD pour la première fois et je n’ai pas extrait les sons de ces deux pistes marshmallow.
Le premier Février 1978 à Vancouver en Colombie Britannique au Canada débute la première série de concerts du "Slowhand Tour USA / Canada" destinée à promouvoir les ventes du cinquième album solo de Clapton.
L’album intitulé "Slowhand" d'après l’un des surnoms de Clapton est sorti le 25 Novembre 1977 chez RSO et est déjà très bien accueilli par le public et la critique.
Le groupe se compose de E. Clapton, G. Terry, D. Sims, C. Radle, J. Oldaker et M. Levy (Yvonne Elliman qui chantait sur les sessions a quitté le groupe pour entamer une carrière solo)
La première partie est assurée par John Martyn, l’auteur de "May You Never" qui a été repris par Clapton sur "Slowhand"
Le 5 Avril c’est à Springfield dans le Massachusetts qu’est enregistré "ERIC CLAPTON - SPRINGFIELD 1978 " Un bootleg soundboard proposé par Beano sous le n° 182 l’ensemble des titres se trouve sur deux CD.
Ce pirate vivra une vie cachée pendant 44 ans jusqu’au 17 Février 2022 lorsqu’un rejeton dûment taxé appelé "ERIC CLAPTON - Springtime In Springfield" distribué par Socadisc sous label X-Ray Production (XRYCD004) se voit à la vente chez tous les marchands de disques de la toile.
Si le Beano comportait deux CD le nouveau venu n’en comporte qu’un et la jaquette s’inspire copieusement de celle du bootleg. En fait "Nobody Knows You When You're Down And Out" et "Bottle Of Red Wine" ont été éliminés.
