Pendant le périple grec des Gland les Juniors faisaient la première partie. Début Octobre 1965 la voiture des Juniors fit une embardée. Thanos Sogioul le leader du groupe perdit la vie et le guitariste Kara Kadas blessé était dans l'incapacité de jouer.
Afin que les Juniors et les Glands puissent garder leurs engagements Clapton assura la guitare au sein des Juniors.
